This chart is a 525 tick crude chart and it shows price breaking a trendline, then a 3x trend method setup. One tip in taking a break of a trendline is to confirm the break by looking at the slow sto and the 3x indicator on the 3x timeframe. Another tip is to use the slow stochastic to confirm the break. The white arrow indicates the 3x trend method setup. Waiting for the first pullback after a trendline break is also a consideration. Trading is simple....but not easy.

In the emini, price broke out of a triangle to the upside, tested the overnight globex high, then broke support which became overhead resistance. Clean 3x trend setup for a short entry at the marker. Another short 3x trend setup took place after when price moved in to the sell zone again.

Crude has not been this low since December of 2004! On Friday crude came within .45 of the December '04 low. This is a 1-2-3 pattern that often provides a bounce. Place a buy stop one tick above low candle at 3. Buy stop was triggered on the next candle and the long is still in play with a paper profit of over $1100 per contract!

After making highs the ES pulled back setting up a confirmed short on the 4800 volume chart. Note how price moved in to the sell zone and continued down. The 3X trend method training video is available to Traders Club members.

Despite lower ES prices after the open a bullish wedge formed that sent price to 808 for a nice countertrend rally.

Before the pit open the emini set up a 3X trend method entry when price dipped in to the buy zone. This is a scalp as the overall trend is down. As taught in the Traders Club this setup was confirmed using multiple timeframe analysis.

This 60 min chart shows crude in a trading range between 55 and 59. The larger timeframes show next level of support in the 51 area. No signs of a bottom in this market. Overhead resistance comes in from 60 to 61. Watch price action to help determine how to trade this market.
